Eliminate variables to achieve balance.  A Euro nymphing reel based on our Guru S platform, the E-Series emerges to strike the perfect balance between form and function.  With a super-large arbor and narrow profile, everything on this reel is purposefully designed with Euro nymphing in mind including a new larger drag knob with precision clicks and stealthy anodized finish.  Straight mono or thin level running lines are fully contained and encased in our HD full frame design.  With lines protected and dimensions dialed, a streamlined weight system - featuring 3 different weights (1/2oz, 1oz,1 1/2oz) - enables you to precisely balance your reel with your rod.

Available in Tungsten

Sealed conical drag system

This reel uses a full frame to ensure that mono and running lines cannot slip between the frame and spool. It also includes a set of 3 weights to help balance out longer 10'+ rods. We sized this reel up to have super large arbor and reduced capacity.

This reel is only offered in a -3+ size. The most popular rod weights for Euro nymphing are 2 and 3 weights. Since this style of fishing does not require a standard fly line it is also appropriate for larger weight rods.

This reel is completely CNC machined and anodized for durability and lasting finish. This reel is offered in a stealth color to reduce glare from the water.

All of our reels are shipped set up for left hand retrieve. They are easily converted to right hand retrieve without the use of tools.

We use a proprietary sealed, conical drag that offers a wide range of drag settings with plenty of stopping power on the high end. This sealed drag can be used in fresh or saltwater and helps keep water and debris out.

The core of a fly reels performance is retrieve rate per ounce, a measure of how efficiently a reel picks up line relative to its weight. There’s no real downside to a higher retrieve rate beyond added mass, which we minimize through advanced design and precision machining. All of our reels qualify as large-arbor designs, with a few pushing the limits like our Hyperspeed reels. A large arbor refers to the reel’s overall diameter, as well as the diameter of the spool’s base where backing and fly line are stored. Increasing a reel’s arbor size delivers faster line pickup, more line retrieved with every revolution of the spool and provides a more consistent drag as line is taken out or wound in, since the diameter changes less dramatically.  Compared to traditional arbor reels, which lose diameter (and drag consistency) quickly as line is stripped off. Large-arbor reels also reduce line memory, resulting in fewer coils and smoother line handling.
