The Radius rods are all 4 piece rods and we offer 4 weight - 6 weight in 9' models. We also have 10' 5 and 6 weights available which are very helpful for powerful, long distance casts and increased mending ability.

What is a Lockdown Reel seat?

Our Lockdown Reel seats allow any reel to mount on machined aluminum rails, instead of on a round reel seat. This ensures your reel is mounted securely and cannot rock loose throughout the day.

Does this rod come with a case?

Yes! These rods come with a sturdy Cordura rod case and dividers to keep sections safe during transport.

Solid stillwater rod

I’ve been spending more time on stillwater lately, and I finally picked up the Lamson Radius 10’ 6wt to see if it lived up to the hype. After a few solid sessions on the lake, I can honestly say — this rod absolutely nails the stillwater game. Right away, the extra length stands out. That 10-foot reach gives me so much more control over line and presentation.

The action feels spot on for stillwater work — medium to medium-fast, smooth, and forgiving enough to protect lighter tippet but with plenty of backbone to turn over heavier rigs or fight a strong fish. It’s not one of those broomstick-stiff rods; it loads nicely and feels intuitive. You can tell Lamson designed it with versatility and feel in mind, not just raw distance.

Build quality is impressive for the price. The Lockdown reel seat, quality cork, and sleek dark finish make it look and feel higher-end than it is. It’s held up perfectly so far, and I’ve been tossing everything from balanced leeches to double chironomid rigs with zero complaints.

I’ve fished plenty of 6wts over the years, but this one has earned a permanent spot in my lineup.

Bought the 10’ 6wt radius for Stillwater and indicator rigs and it does exactly what I need it to and more. Durable, cast well, and a solid rod for the price, definitely recommend 🤙
