I purchased the Liquid Max based upon a recommendation to pair with buy new rod. I was surprised at how easily it allows me to swap out spools for switching between surface and subsurface fishing. My first outing and me into fish quickly so I was able to make use of the drag same day. I am very pleased with the purchase!

This is a super nice reel. Amazing value for the money, and with the Cobalt drag system, should be a long-term player in the quiver. For anyone budget conscious, or looking to pick up a great spare to travel with, this is an amazing piece. Kudos to Lamson for this release, WAY nicer than cast reels from the competition!

Great reel. So Smooth on the retrieve makes you feel like you’re not even working to haul in your trophy. The weight of the real balances out my rod perfectly. I highly recommend you consider this reel. It’s a great value.
