The Purist II reels feature a fully CNC machined frame and spool for durability and lasting finish.

Our reels are sized for one line weight up or down. For example, a -5+ is appropriate 4/5/6wt fly lines. If you are in between sizes staying with the smaller reel is usually a good guideline. If you would prefer to prioritize backing capacity or like a larger arbor, the larger size will work better.

This reels are extensively machined and to remove any execess material, inclduing a hollow spindle. don't be fooled, although these reels are lightweight they are incredibly durable, works horse machines.

All of our reels are shipped set up for left hand retrieve. They are easily converted to right hand retrieve by flipping the clicker over.

Click pawl reels forgo a standard drag and use only a clicker for resistance, these reels function with minimalist efficiency. Additional pressure can be applied to the spool by "palming" or holding your hand on the spool as line is being taken out.
