NEW E-SERIES ROD AND REEL

Introducing Liquid Max outfits and Rods
Let customers speak for us
from 798 reviewsI bought this reel at begining of 2023 fishing season, with the two extra spools. Great price, and functions well. I use it entirely in saltwater, mostly for northeast stripers. I do soak the reel after every use as I had a Konic that corroded after neglect, though it also still works. The drag works fine with enough resistance needed to land 10+ pound fish. What is most importatnt is the support Lamson provides to their customers, perfect. I own three Lamson reels , Liquid, Konic and this Remix, and I recommend them to anyone getting into the sport.

I got this rod to replaced my favorite 6 weight which bit the dust after nearly 15 years. It was a tough decision which rod to replace it with but decided on the Velocity because of the reviews, there were none in my area to test. I went with the 6 wt with fighting butt as my new topwater bass rod.
When the rod arrived I immediately did the obligatory lawn test. Loved it!
First time on the water, not so much. On my first hookup the rod snapped when I came up tight on a 2 lb. largemouth. I was VERY disappointed but not for long. Sitting in my kayak I called Lamson customer service and spoke with Sean who told me how to submit the warranty claim. Short version of the story is, one week later I was back on the water with a new section to replace the broken one, which fit perfectly by the way, and couldn’t be happier!!
I’ve since landed many largemouth, up to 3.5 lb. and smallmouth, up to 2.5 lb. with the rod and am completely happy. The casting power and accuracy are far more than expected for a rod at this price range. Fighting capability is substantial for a 6 wt, it has minimal swing weight and I can launch a big topwater hair bug, with ease as far as I care to cast.
Thank you Lamson for an awesome rod and awesome customer support!!!

I recently bought a Radius 9' 4wt on closeout at my local fly shop. The shop owner said he can't move Lamson rods due to their lack of marketing. And it's a damn shame, because this is a GREAT rod.
First off, I love the action--I'd call it a medium fast. It's nice and smooth, but still has reserve power. Today I was punching big Chubbies into a still wind and had no issues.
Secondly, it has great recovery--as good as or better than a top of the line Sage. The quick recovery translates to accuracy. Today the fish were holding right next to the bank. The target window was about 3" wide and I hit it all day long.
Also, it's light, has a great grip and reel seat, and has a nice finish. This rod has replaced my Sage 4wt. I can't recommend it enough.

Bought the 7+ as my first saltwater specific reel. Great pick up, drag system handles larger redfish well, no complaints! Great value for the performance

Outstanding feel to the rod and excellent reel. Great product at an unbelievable price.

It is very convenient to have spare spool when you are fly fisherman and needs to change the line depending on what method do you want to use.

Smooth accurate casts, loads nice, light and feels good in the hand.

My old DCA-4 was a workhorse reel. Originally purchased in the mid90s to meet a need for a planned salmon trip to the Miramichi, it had served me well - stripers, bluefish, shad, muskies, etc. A workhorse indeed...until the clutch failed and no replacement part was available. Rather than spend money to a 3rd party to rebuild the clutch I took advantage of Lamson's trade-in policy and upgraded to a REMIX. Sean and Customer Service were extremely helpful in facilitating the exchange/purchase.
As to the reel itself, it's ready to go, both spools loaded. First test will be muskies.
It's much lighter and more attractive than a DCA.... an upgrade. I'm sure its reliability will match my experience with my 1.5 Litespeed Hard Alox

The +-9 three pack is my third of this series. The thing I like best about the Liquid series is the drag. It’s not Lamson’s best but it definitely performs better than I expected on big fish and the price for the 3 pack allows you to rig the other two spools with quality fly line. On a personal note, I would like like the spools in this series to be more narrow and have a larger diameter. Similar to the Hyperspeed. The Liquids do take more backing to get the fly line out on the reel which may add more weight at the reel seat. I do use in salt/brackish water but clean after after use.

These are good rods at a mid price and they are fast action. I have 7 and 8 wt. Sage and Loomis rods and this hangs in fine as the 9 wt I was missing. Thanks for putting the little mating dots on the rod sections that my Sage didn't bother to do. Though it's a fast action I can still feel the rod load matched to a 9 wt line and it shoots a good cast. I imagine the 8 wt cobalt would also be a great bonefish rod.

Fast delivery, professionally packed and exactly as advertized!

This is a Great Small Reel Case!!! I put 2 5wt reels &
1 3wt reel with a extra 3wt spool.
All fit perfectly!!!
A few small mesh pockets for extra tippets or leaders!!
I highly Recommend!!!!

These are very well put together with solid stitching that I am not worried about failing.

After jumping down the rabbit hole of Euro nymphing, I'm pretty sure I owned or fished every 3-weight on the market...but I kept wanting to drop down for more sensitivity, especially when using lighter flies, dry-dropper rigs, and micro thin leaders. Enter the 10'10" 2-weight E-Series, my "daily driver" all trout season in Pennsylvania. This rod has the reach, excellent responsiveness and recovery, a finish that doesn't grab my thin leader/tippet, and can handle larger trout. My search is over, ha! After fishing the 2-weight all spring, it's coming with me to Montana and Iceland this summer, and I can't wait to see how it performs. The Velocity series was my introduction into Lamson fly rods (crazy value at its price point), and now the E-Series is delivering at that high level, too!

I paired the 8wt with a Lamson Guru and a bass taper with an intermediate sink tip. The rod drives heavily weighted bugs like a rocket. I was both pleased and shocked at how easily I reached out while on still water. Next: carp!
